Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that loved music. Growing up she was influenced by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any dramatic performance. She began singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive training in singing at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. In 2000 she moved back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion for music and arts. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Chorale for allowing her to perform traditional Latin American song.
